Custom Upholstery...

Making Your Vision a Reality!

Have you ever taken a look at a photo in a magazine and wished your home could look like that? I don't mean a furniture catalog where everything matches... those staged images are meant to showcase all of the the pieces in a manufacturer's collection- not a functional living space. I'm talking about a room or home that catches your eye because of it's functional stylish, well thought out and put together with multiple fabrics, colors and patterns that may not all match, necessarily but work together seamlessly. Furniture that doesn't look like it was cut from the same cookie cutter; but was cleverly chosen for that space,.. for that person's needs, or wants and personality.
What if I were to tell you that your space can be just as beautiful, just as functional and cost you just as much as that cookie-cutter-catalog room we see all too often?
Visions Home Furnishings, Consignments and Interior Design would like to introduce to all of our past, present and future clients the luxuriously unique concept of custom upholstered furniture. Custom upholstery is something that we have been using in our staging business and with our design clients for years, and recently have offered it to our store customers, as well.

Sofas, love seats, sectionals, accent chairs, and ottomans in styles that range from mid century modern, to modern contemporary or even the classics. The choices go on and on! Overwhelmed yet? We haven't even touched on the special features like contrast welting, nail heads, tufting, two tone fabrics, mix-matched patterns, free accent pillows in your choice of fabric and every color of the rainbow!

Okay, so that's all fun and exciting but what about practicality? For those of us "right-brain" people (I'm talking mostly to the husbands here) you're probably wondering about things like cost-first and foremost, comfort, functionality and "how long is it going to last?"... am I close? Don't worry, our "Vision" isn't all about style. We want you to be excited about your purchase, forget buyer's remorse! And not just the day after you leave our store but well after you've worn a comfortable, tushy-sized dent in your favorite spot.
Our staff is passionate about design and trained regularly on product knowledge in order to provide a service of the highest standard. We understand that having the ability to choose exactly what you want (rather than something found on a showroom floor) takes time, thought and many considerations; so there's no high pressure here. If you have decided to explore the new and affordable world of custom upholstery there are a few things you can do at home to streamline your process with us.
  1.    Take photos of the space you're furnishing. Design is a visual industry, and our staff works best with an idea of the space they're helping you work on. Photos also give us an idea of your sense of style and personality. Think about what you like about your current space, and what you don't like.
  2.   Take measurements. Sometimes it's hard to judge size and space merely by photos alone. Having the dimensions of the furniture currently occupying your space, and dimensions of the room itself is a very helpful aid when working with you to create a functional design.
  3.  Write down questions that are important to you to have answered. Sometimes we remember all the right things to ask after we have left the situation. We would hate for you to make a decision without all of the details you need to know, so don't be embarrassed to bring a list of questions or important topics to discuss. We're here to help!
  4.   Know your budget. It's always a good idea to know ahead of time what is affordable to you. We don't like to assume, nor do we want to suggest something to you that is above or below what's feasible for you. Our clientele is made up of all walks of life and we carry brands to fit anyone's budget. It's no different with Custom Upholstery. With so many options out there, its easy to make adjustments to for your needs financially, as well.

Whether you walk into our store on a whim or come prepared with all of the suggested info above, there is always a friendly face ready and willing to help get you started. So come on in and let us help make your Vision a reality.
